My Little Story Corner developed out of a complete obsession with picture books, and a love of writing them! Romi Sharp has completely immersed herself in the world of children’s literature. (There are numerous, fully-stacked book shelves in her home to prove it!)

She likes to be ‘creative’ in her line of work, whether that be in her story writing, book reviews, marketing campaigns, educational resources, copywriting, or book trailer animations. With this passion for the world of children’s literature, Romi has connected with equally creative, and more creative, people through her own writers’ community; Just Write For Kids Australia. And with a shared belief in the magic and power of children’s books, she revels in promoting new and established authors and their books through her publicity and marketing initiative, Books On Tour PR & Marketing.

Romi enjoys developing comprehensive educational teaching notes (linked to the EYLF and Australian Curriculum) from picture books for publishers and the academic community. Being so close to so many beautiful books is just the inspiration Romi needs to write her own ‘creative’ stories that spark imagination, facilitate curiosity, promote discussion, and induce a hearty giggle all at the same time. Instilling a love of reading and books in children is a strong passion and drive for Romi to do what she does, with the aspiration to author and share her own one day soon. Her goal in life is to make a difference to the lives of children. Whether it be big or small, she hopes that her contribution will inspire, teach and entertain them in a positive way.

Romi lives in Melbourne with her husband, two (also book loving) daughters and fur babies, in a suburb aplenty with families and Oodles, cafes with good hot chocolate and easy access to books and nature – things that inspire a healthy dose of ideas and creativity!
